Review of existing situation of municipal waste collection in Hainaut Occidental (23 communes and 320,000 inhabitants), development of integrated collection services (3 areas).

Technical assistance for general review of waste management activities of ICDI :
Development of a Public / Private Partnership (PPP) for the renewal of an existing sorting and waste to energy plant.
The PPP company will take in charge construction, commissioning and probation operation of a new waste to energy plant for the Liège Province (320,000 tonnes/year of incoming municipal waste, 30 MWe of net electrical production).
Technical and Contractual assistance to the public partner in relation with the selection of the private partner.
General study, tender specification, tender analysis for a treatment plant of cleaning sludges with sand recovery (15 t/h).
Technical assistance for solid waste management in Namur Province :
Feasibility study of composting of green waste and waste water sludge.
Construction supervision of landfill extension with biogas collection and leachate treatment (Hallembaye II).
General design, preparation of contractual and technical specifications, tendering procedure, evaluation of tenders and construction supervision for clinical waste transfer building (reception and storage, loading and incineration of 2,000 t/y),
Development of separate collection of organic waste and tender procedure for sorting/composting treatment plant for the Namur Province (B).
Revision of incineration plant project and extension to 3 streams in order to process 225,000 t/y of municipal waste for Namur and Luxembourg Provinces :
Preparation of a tendering procedure for the disposal of animal waste in Wallonia, tender documentation for a long term service contract, comparison of proposals.
Reports on the existing situation of hazardous waste and oil waste treatment in the Brussels area.
Audit of existing \\\"Sorting and Recycling Centre\\\" of Intradel, study of the possible markets for the recovered products and proposal of future investments.
General study aiming at centralizing all the services of the \\\"Cleansing Department\\\" of the Agglomération de Bruxelles : administration, vehicle workshop, covered parking area for lorries as well as a transfer centre for household refuse.
Detailed study of the above mentioned transfer centre : project for a transfer station with a capacity of 100,000 tons/year, selection of the bidders and preparation of the tender documents
Preliminary study for the treatment of industrial and hospital waste in the Brussels area, evaluation of arising types and quantities, comparison of treatment methods.

Analysis of the Polish Waste Management Market and advice on the preparation of successive steps leading to possible acquisitions of Municipal Solid Waste Collection and/or Treatment companies in Poland.
Analysis of the UK Waste Management Market and advice on the preparation of successive steps leading to possible acquisitions of Municipal Solid Waste Collection and/or Treatment companies in the UK.
Report to Newport City Council answering the following questions :
Technical Due Diligence for the development and the operation of a complete integrated waste management scheme including Waste to Energy Plant, Material Recycling Facility, Transfer Stations, Landfill Sites and Composting Sites.
